Question by BadFish: what do u guys think about this for a tattoo?
i will be getting my second tattoo here soon, and i have been looking at several diffrent designs, and everytime i find myself keep coming back to this one, if i get it, it will be on my left inner forearm 5-6 inches long, just the mystery man and the streetlight, i actually really like this as it is a logo for streetlight manifesto, my favorite band of several years. thanks guys

I think “Simply” is right, it will just end up looking like a big black blob. Maybe if you have an artist add some detail and shade it, and not just have it as a straight, all black, silhouette.
Honestly, I’m not a huge fan… but if it’s meaningful to you then go for it.

Do something original, come up with an idea in your head and ask a tattoo artist to draw it up for you!
It’s a cool design and I think it would tattoo well. I would consider what kind of tattoo person I was before doing it. If you’re planning on getting heavily into them and using them as a journal to document different stages in your life, go for it. If you plan on just having a few select ones, I’d save your skin for something very, very meaningful.

Not to my taste.
It would be a very neat tattoo. But does it have any meaning to you other than the fact that it is your favorite bands logo. If you are going to have something permanently inked in you than it should be something you can love forever! That band could all of a sudden do a hate song about you, then you would probably regret getting that tat. For example my freind Bonnie got a tattoo of a treble clef on her forearm, that will always be her passion! Or like my neighbor Bart, he got a tattoo of his wife’s name but then they got a divorce. So my point is to make your tattoo as meaning full as possible.
Seems to be decent picture, but the idea of it being a tattoo does not seem to “jive”. Simply get a sketch of it or something and try to get some feedback about it. But all in all, what does it matter what other people think? If you feel this is the right tattoo for you, then you should go for it.
