What you’ve mentioned would be a perfect memorial tattoo. Incorporate things that remind you of the good times you shared with your mother, like if she was religious get a cross or something. The dove holding a star would be a gorgeous design. Remember that it’s a tattoo for your mother, so a generic tattoo design from off the net wouldn’t hold the same meaning as something you and your artist came up with together.
