Question by Frances: Want a tattoo, but I have some issues?
I have decided that I definitely want a tattoo for my birthday this year. I pretty much already know what I want: A tribute to my daughter on my back(maybe behind one of my shoulders), a lion cub with wings and her birth date at the bottom(don’t ask me why, too much to explain). There are just a few issues:

1) My husband doesn’t like tattoos on women. He doesn’t think they look attractive. This is news to me, when I told him I planned to get a few when I have the courage/money. Am I supposed to respect his wishes and just not get one, even though I really want one?

2) Deathly scared of needles…especially the thought of one running over and over on my skin…I know it will hurt. I HATE getting shots or having blood drawn, just the thought of it makes me feel kind of ill…. so I’m wondering how to overcome this.

3) My budget, I’m thinking would be around $ 200….It won’t be that big….maybe the size of my fist…reasonable on average?

4) I can’t draw at all. Should I hire an artist or have them draw it? Which is cheaper or better? Is there a website or something where I can create my own design?

I’d really like advice from those who have been through the process and what they’ve done. Please no rude answers. I WILL flag you for abuse so don’t even try….

I havent gotten a tattoo, and Im deathly afraid of needles and blood too! I want to get a hyenna tattoo, so maybe that would be your best bet?
