Question by harijuku: Why do people have a low opinion of women with tattoos?
I mean fair enough if they’re trashy as hell and look like this:

But what if they’re beautiful and a lot of thought and work went into them:

I don’t understand why people have such a low opinion of people, particularly women, with tattoos. I’m aware that they can make women seem trashy but I only really think that if the tattoo was like 15$ and looks like it was done in sharpie while the tattooist was having a seizure. If the tattoo is beautiful and vibrant and classy (or as classy as a tattoo can be like a koi or a classic pin up or a pretty japanese design or at least something well done) then I don’t really see the problem. Tattooing has been going on for hundreds of years (i think) but it makes me feel sick when I hear men say things like ‘Nice girl, shame about the tattoos’ about somebody. I think tattoos can be beautiful when, like i said, they aren’t a gross blob of ink or a tattoo of an infected dick or something (i’ve seen stuff like that, i was like “WHY!?”)

Can people not be nasty or spam me or anything. Its just sort of narrow minded to assume a woman (or man) is some sort of cracked out whore because she has tattoos.

I’ve just said not all women who get them are whores! I want tattoos because I like Sailor Jerry’s style of tattooing, not because I want men “poking” me! I’m getting engaged for gods sake! :/
:/ I guess the only people who don’t find tattoos on women trashy is the target audience for AltPorn which really isn’t very promising. At least tattooed girls who aren’t whores don’t care what people think. I’m sort of referring to slightly alternative girls anyway, not trailer trash with tramp stamps.
I wasn’t really referring to the picture in question when I typed ‘meaningful’ in, I found it after. Its not even the people I hang around with since they’re generally all tattooed.
It puzzles me as to how Miami/LA Ink is so popular when it seems that masses of people seem to think that tattoos are gross.

Because it shows they willing allow strangers to poke them, and will pay them to do so, too.
